DORFic is my favorite Internet aesthetic, and the inspiration for the color scheme I used for this site.
In use from the early 2000s to the mid 2010s, it's dominant colors are Orange and Red, contrasted by greys, pure white and, less frequently, black or dark blue.
Usually associated with the corporate tech scene of the era, DORFic is also a branch of the Frutiger Aero aesthetic, with particular emphasys on clean abstracted shapes, gradients and transparency effects.
Popular themes are corporate corruption , office spaces, tech, minimal architecture and robotics.
The acronym stands for Daylight, Orange, Red, Futurism and Graphic (fic).
